Love Your Bird: Spencer the Survivor
Spencer (Black Headed Caique) is a Hurricane Katrina survivor from New Orleans in August 2005. He and his family lost everything so they moved to Houston to start over. Later Spencer's family gave him up for adoption; in time he was given up for adoption 10 times causing him to be more aggressive and distrusting of people. In March 2009, I heard about him needing yet another new home so I flew to Houston, Texas to adopt him making me his 11th parront. Sometimes he can be meaner than a junkyard dog, his favorite friend is a cockatiel but ohhhh he loves me so much and I love him!
